A 23-year-old woman has been killed after a hit-and-run car crash occurred in downtown St. Louis just after 2 a.m.
According to police, the woman was the last person in a line of three pedestrians that were crossing the street when she was struck. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews and the car that struck her did not ever stop.
Officers have stated that the car was a grey or silver Pontiac and the two occupants were described as black males. Emergency crews spent nearly five hours clearing the roadway. A man was also struck and was transported to the hospital to be treated.
Our deepest condolences are with the friends and family of the victim.
