Two separate lawsuits have been filed against a Kentucky nursing home after the death of two of the residents. Both of the lawsuits allege that the nursing home failed to give the victims proper care and this caused their deaths.
The first lawsuit was filed May 11 after the nursing home neglected to care for a man and he developed a a foot infection, which was not properly treated. This lead to the amputation of the man’s leg and later his death.
The second lawsuit was filed in June and states that the staff failed to even deliver the minimum standards of care and this caused the patient’s body to weaken rapidly. The suit also alleges that multiple medical issues were caused by the nursing home’s negligence and in both cases, it is claimed that the nursing home failed to maintain enough staff to prevent these problems.
Nursing home negligence can seriously effect those who can not stand up for themselves. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
