A man from Eastern Missouri was killed after a workplace accident occurred when a forklift collapsed on top of him.
According to a officials in the case, the 54-year-old man was working on a loading dock in St. Louis county and the forklift fell off the dock and on top of him. A second forklift was brought in so that the fallen forklift could be lifted off the injured man.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later. The man worked as a fork lift operator for almost 20 years. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced that they will be investigating the accident.
