A medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuithas now been filed against the medical center in a St. Louis prison after the death of an inmate.
According to the lawsuit, the 31-year-old man died of from complications that arose from a congenital aortic valve stenosis, a heart condition.
The lawsuit is claiming that missteps that occurred in the medical treatment caused the man’s death and that the private contractor that provides medical care for the justice center is at fault. Representation for the man’s family is claiming the staff members either failed to see that the man needed medical care or ignored the fact that he did.
