The Edward Jones Dome, where the St. Louis Rams play, will be receiving a $124 million renovation, according to the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.
According to the Boston Globe, the St. Louis Rams currently lease the stadium, but officials fear that with Los Angeles organizers looking for a team, the Rams may leave. The lease states that the stadium must be in the top tier of stadiums and the Rams can break the lease after the 2014 season.
The $124 million renovation includes 1,500 club seats, new windows along the length of the field, concession stand improvements, and the addition of a courtyard between the dome and the convention center.
Also, a 50,000 square foot building named the “Geek Suite” will be added for fantasy football and electronic enthusiasts. The St. Louis Rams have until March 1 to accept these new terms.
