Evenflo Inc., has announced that they have recalled convertible high chairs that are sold at Toys ‘R’ Us and Walmart stores nationwide and online. The three high chairs are sold in three different models, Dottie Lime, Dottie Rose and Marianna and were made from December 2011 to June 2012.
The high chairs can change from a chair to a toddler-sized table and chairs. The recall was made when it was found that the tray on the high chair can detach and the child may fall as a result.
According to the Washington Post, Evenflo has received 18 reports of a the tray detaching and eight of the kids fell because of the defect. Injuries sustained were said to be bumps and bruises. The high chair recall affects nearly 35,000 units in the U.S.
