A family has now filed a wrongful death lawsuit after the death of a Waukegan man occurred in 2010.
The accident occurred outside of Chicago when the man was attempting to empty a garbage dumpster into a garbage truck and he was crushed by another truck. The cable snapped and caused the man to be trapped between two trucks.
The man was an employee at Waste Management when the accident occurred. He was then freed by rescue workers. The lawsuit states that the proper accessory was not used in the design of the mechanism.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
