Alexandra Ballet

On the weekend of February 21 and 22, Alexandra Ballet will be performing Giselle, a poignant story about an innocent peasant girl who grants protection and mercy to the man who betrays her. The feature role of Giselle will be Alexandra Ballet Alumna Georgia Reed, the music will be by Adolphe Adam, and restaging by internationally-renowned choreographer Marek Cholewa. This romantic era ballet show will be performed at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center. You can buy tickets here.

The Awakening

Although it may be frigid, grab some hot chocolate or coffee and see The Awakening in the winter light. The Awakening is a sculpture created by Seward Johnson that weighs in at 4,700 pounds, measures 70-feet long and reaches 17 feet high at its highest point.

Missouri Botanical Garden Butterfly House

Faust Park, 15193 Olive Blvd. Chesterfield, MO 63017

The Butterfly House is a nonprofit organization that was founded to create awareness for butterfly’s natural habitat. The conservatory holds almost 2,000 tropical butterflies that undergo metamorphosis through the four seasons. While the backyard may be chilly at this time, the exhibit hall and Emerson Theater will hold fascinating information about the history of butterflies and other invertebrates. Sports Fusion

Sports Fusion is a 30,000 square foot indoor family entertainment center that was built in an old manufacturing plant. The large facility has a blend of attractions that excite a broad range of ages and physical abilities.  Laser tag, mini golf, an arcade room, and an indoor playground are only some of the options for you and your family to enjoy in this indoor wonderland in Chesterfield.

St. Louis Carousel at Faust Park
15189 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield, MO 63017

The St. Louis Carousel has more than 60 hand carved horses and deer waiting for you and your family to take a swirl. The carousel was built in 1920 by the Dentzel Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It originally set in Forest Park but was preserved after a fire in the 1960’s. It was fully preserved in Chesterfield in the 1980’s. A carousel ride is a tradition that can be passed down from one generation to another.

These restaurants, performances, and entertainment zones only hit the surface of what is in Chesterfield.
