Two people who were recently injured in a speeding accident in east St. Louis have filed suit against the driver that struck their vehicle.
The accident occurred last month when the two plantiffs were traveling northbound on State Route 3. At the intersection with Missouri Ave., the defendant’s vehicle turned east onto Missouri Ave. from the southbound lanes of State Route 3. During the turn, the driver failed to reduce the vehicle’s speed to avoid hitting the other vehicle.
In addition, the lawsuit accuses the driver of failure to keep a proper lookout and failure to control his vehicle. The defendants are seeking $100,000 plus additional costs as compensation for the neck and head injuries they sustained in the accident.
