An Australian man was recently misdiagnosed with stomach cancer and it was not discovered until after he already underwent rounds of chemotherapy and had nearly 80 percent of his stomach removed.
The man has now filed a lawsuit against Australia’s Central Coast Local Health District after a false diagnosis was made after a surgery in 2010.
The man had 80 percent of his stomach taken out in order to remove the cancer that did not exist. He can not longer eat sitting down and suffers from severe anxiety and depression. The man is seeking an apology from the hospital along with compensation for his pain and injuries.
