CRUISE SHIP CRASH MAY HAVE BEEN CAPTAIN’S MISTAKE

By Daniel Finney

The Italian cruise ship crash that took the lives of six people, may have occurred after the ship’s captain made an unauthorized change in the path of the cruise liner. The captain of the Costa Concordia cruise ship has now been jailed as a result.

The death toll has risen to six at this time, but sixteen people are unaccounted for, including two American passengers. The crash occurred when the cruise ship was struck by a reef and caused the ship to topple over to one side. The captain was charged with manslaughter, abandoning ship, and causing a ship to wreck.

The course was put approved before the ship left the dock, but the captain made an unapproved move to leave the course. The rescue effort has currently been paused since the ship floated into rough waters, just near a seabed that drops 30 feet. If it suddenly drops, divers could be in a very dangerous situation.

The St. Louis Personal injury lawyers‘ thoughts are with all affected by this tragic crash. For more information, visit the Huffington Postweb site today.
