A St. Louis resident was struck and killed while crossing Washington Avenue on Sunday.
According to officials with the St. Louis Police Department, the accident occurred as the man was crossing M-46 when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle just after 6 p.m.
The driver and passenger in the vehicle were both injured in the accident and the pedestrian was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived at the scene. The investigation into the crash is underway at this time.
