Cedar Wood Villa nursing home is under an intense investigation after claims of alleged substandard care was given to the residents there.
The investigation could result in heavy fines and a loss of Medicaid and Medicare, which would be a tremendous loss for the home because 76 percent of the patients are supported by this.
Multiple issues were cited in a 101-page report that was made after an on site investigation done by the Department of Public Health and Human Services. One of the issues investigated was that the nursing home did not do their best to protect their patients from bedsores.
