A man from Peirce City was killed after a car accident on Missouri Highway 86 near Barry County.
According to Missouri State Patrol, the accident occurred as the man was driving his pickup truck down the highway when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.
Once the car went off the side of the road, the man struck a tree before finally coming to a stop. The 50-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene by rescue crews.
