An infection risk has caused a recall of nearly 1,400 boxes of Kotex tampons when it was found that they may be contaminated with a life-threatening bacteria.
According to Kimberly-Clark Corp., the recall began on Nov. 9 when the possible contamination was discovered and it has been said that 98 percent of the recalled product have been recovered. About 300 boxes, that contain 36 tampons each, are still being sought for. There have not been any injury reports from the product at this time.
The recalled Kotex include the Natural Balance Security Unscented Tampons Regular Absorbency with the SKU’s of 15063 and 15068. The tampons were shipped to Wal-Mart stores in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico and Iowa Also, Fry’s stores in Arizona as well as Smith’s stores in Arizona and Utah.
