You’ve heard the phrase “Christmas in July”, right? Well, how about a little Halloween in July, or at least a little unseasonal spookiness thanks to The Adams Family which comes to town this summer.
The Addams Family will be making its US regional and St. Louis premiere at the Muny on July 14th. This hilarious show combines Charles Addams’classic characters with a Broadway musical and it has been delighting and thrilling audiences around the world.
Don’t miss your chance to see The Addams Family with it’s star studded cast including Rob McClure as Gomez Addams, Jenny Powers as Morticia Addams, and Steve Rosen as Uncle Fester.
Rob McClure received Tony, Drama League, Astaire, and Outer Critics Circle nominations and won the Theatre World and Clive Barnes awards for his performance as Chaplin in Chaplin: The Musical. He has also starred opposite Tony Danaza in Honeymoon in Vegas. Among other awards and accolades, in Philadelphia, McClure won two Barrymore Awards for best actor in a musical and stared as Mozart in Amadeus at the Walnut Street Theatre.
Jenny Powers has recently portrayed the roles of Samira in the world premiere of Secondhand Lions and Maggie in the world premiere of A Little More Alive. She’s also taken Broadway by storm as Rizzo in Grease and Meg in Little Women. In addition to the stage, Powers has graced the television in Blue Bloods, The Good Wife, Mercy, Law & Order: CI, Nurse Jackie, and more.
Steve Rosen is an actor, writer, and composer. He has originated leading roles in Spamalot, The Fransworth Invention, and Guys & Dolls. Rosen has appeared on television in Masters of Sex, Psych, Person of Interest, and Law & Order.
The Addams Family will run at the Muny from July 14th through the 20th with performances each day at 8:15 p.m. Ticket prices start at just $14 so there are affordable options for everyone.
